Massachusetts State Lottery has teamed up with the Deutsche Bank Championship to "honor" an individual coming from every one of the 351 cities/towns all across the state. These persons should have made a concrete impact via golf and other
kinds of competitions.
The public could actually have a hand in this venture. They (both entities), have been making an appeal to the public to aid them in increasing the support for these valuable and notable members of the state who have turned in worthy acts.
Every honoree would get a Certificate of Appreciation signed no less by the MA Treasurer and more than that, would be given an invitation to the Sept first Deutsche Bank Championship.
Who could be nominated, here are the qualifications:
# example could be the local golf pro, or coach, or camp counselor.
# He/she has to be a full-time citizen of the state.
# Must have done outstanding acts this past year AND there is no age ceiling.
# The nominations have to be in by Aug 14...guys, you STILL have a few days.
If you plan to nominate anybody, it's: friendsofthefairway@masslottery.com...and according to them...you would have to send the person's name, number, address-both email and residence, and a short narration of his achievements in the golfing events and/or others.
